Practical tips
The standard BTW rate is 21 percent, with a reduced 9 percent rate and a 0 percent rate for some supplies such as certain exports. Very small businesses can join the KOR small business scheme, which means they do not charge BTW and must mention it on their invoices; the turnover limit applies per calendar year, so check the Belastingdienst. Dutch payment terms are commonly 14 or 30 days, and you can add the terms to the invoice notes.
